Bahamani Kingdom-
During the the time of Muhammad bin tughlaq, he tried to control the area of deccan and appointed amiran-i-sada or Sada Amir which later revolted gainst him and become independent ,which led to formation of Bahamani kingdom
Alauddin Hasan Bahman Shah-
He was founder of Bahamani kingdom and made capital at Gulbarga
He was also known as Hasan Gangu
Muhammad Shah I-
He established a council of eight ministers including the peshwa
He defeated the ruler of Warrangal and vijayanagar for short period of time
Ahma Shah-
He transferred his capital from Gulbarga to Bidar
Mahmud Gawan-
He annexed Konkan and Goa
He founded a madrasa, an academy of learning at Bidar and it was built in Persian architectural style
After this Due to weak successors Bahamani kingdom was disintegrated into –Bijapur,Golconda,Ahmednagar,Bera and Bidar
Bijapur- It was founded by Yusuf Adil Shah and famous Gol Gumbaz was built by Muhammad Adil Shah and Ibrahim Adil Shah introduced Dakhini in place of Persian as court language
Golconda- It was founded by Muhammad Quli Qutub shah and Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah built Charminar and founded the city Hyderabad
Ahmednagar – Founded by Ahmad Nizam Shah
Bera – Founded by Fatullah khan Imad ul Mulk
Bidar – It was founded by Ali Barid
Bijapur and Golconda were captured by Aurangzeb in 1687
Art and architecture-
Architecture of Bahmani kingdom was influence by Persian architecture
There was use of Strong arches and huge domes in the buildings
In some building one can seen crescent moon at the top
There were strong fort walls around some forts and the fort walls were built using stone and mortars

The Gulbarga Fort, Haft Gumbaz, Shah bazaar mosque, and Jama Masjid etc. at Gulbarga
Gol Gumbaz, Upri Buruj, Chand Bawdi, Asar Mahal, Gagan Mahal, Jumna Mosque,Sat Manzil, Ibrahim Rauza, Malik-e-Maidan, Jod Gumbaz and Anand Mahal at Bijapur
Mohammad Gawan’s madarasa, solah khamba mosque, Rangeen mahal, Janata mahal etc. at Bidar
Gol Gumbaz-
It was built by Mohammad Adil Shah
It is one of the largest single-chamber structures in the world
The building is one of those put by UNESCO on its "tentative list" to become a World Heritage Site in 2014
It is a single large dome which has no pillars to support it
Bidar Fort-
It is located at Bidar, Karnataka
It was constructed by Ahmad Shah Bahamani
Different palaces,mosques etc. are located in this fort
